Period-end board pack
A four-weekly or monthly pack for directors: ranked shops, exceptional lines, and a written period reading that matches the trading calendar you close.
From £1,650 per period (up to twenty sites)
A weekly flash is a conversation. A period pack is a record. Utilitycraftline writes the latter so that a director who missed two Monday calls can still see which shops moved, which costs were one-off, and which stories should not be repeated as if they were trends.
We keep the same KPI tree as the weekly work where one exists. If you only need the period document, we still write definitions first: like-for-like, concession versus own-store, and whether click-and-collect sales sit in the collecting shop or the originating one.
Exception pages matter more than colour. A landlord works programme, a flooded stockroom, or a three-week manager vacancy belongs in sentences, not in a footnote under a chart. The rank table is allowed to be dull. Dull is how a board notices the one shop that is not.
Who it is for
Boards and investor-managers of multi-site retailers who already receive weekly flashes but need a period document that can be filed with minutes.
What you leave with
A pack that can be read in twenty minutes: estate totals, site ranks, three or four exceptions, and a narrative that names weather, events, and known operational faults.
Included
- Period totals restated on the same definitions as the weekly view
- Ranked site table with movement versus last period
- Exception pages for closures, refits, and one-off costs
- A written period commentary of 600–900 words
Not included
- Statutory reporting
- Investor-relations design for listed companies
- Forecast models
How the work runs
Calendar lock
Confirm period dates, including 4-4-5 close if that is how you pay rent and wages.
Exception list
You send known distortions before we write; we do not discover a roof leak from the numbers alone.
Pack and walkthrough
Draft on the Thursday after close; comments Friday; issue for the Monday board.
Time and place
Two to three weeks to first pack; then by period if retained.
PDF pack and a one-hour walkthrough by video or at your head office.
Next step
Tell us your next period-close date and how many shops sit in the rank table.
