Terms of commission

These terms apply when you enquire about or commission work from Utilitycraftline, of 1 Red Lane, Eshott, NE61 1AP, United Kingdom. By sending an enquiry or paying a deposit you accept them. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of the United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction.

What we agree to prepare

A commission is a professional service: written definitions, restated files, Monday flashes, Friday or period packs, facilitated review days, or labour coverage notes, as described on the relevant page and in the quote. We do not supply EPOS systems, payroll software, statutory accounts, or a hosted login product.

Quotes and deposits

Fees on the site are starting figures. A written quote confirms scope, timetable, and deposit. Work in the shadow weeks does not start until the stated deposit has cleared. Travel from Eshott is billed at cost where the quote says so.

Your materials

You warrant that you have the right to share till extracts, labour files, and diaries you send us. You remain the owner of those materials. We may keep working copies for the period needed to deliver the commission and to defend a fee dispute, then delete them on written request subject to legal retention duties.

Intellectual property

The issued pack, definition sheet, and restated workbooks are licensed to you for internal use in your retail business, including sharing with directors and area managers. Utilitycraftline retains copyright in our templates, methods, and unpublished drafts. You may not resell the templates as a product or present them as another consultancy’s work.

Timetable and late files

Monday flashes depend on extracts arriving when agreed. If files are late, the flash waits. We will not invent a figure to keep a timetable. Review-day dates are held once the booking deposit is paid.

Liability

Packs are prepared from the files you supply. We are not auditors and do not certify statutory accuracy. Our liability for a commission is limited to the fees paid for that commission, except where the law of the United Kingdom does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). We are not liable for lost profits, missed openings, or decisions you take after reading a pack.

Confidentiality

Shop ranks, wage percentages, and exception notes are treated as confidential. We do not name clients in public notes without permission. Testimonials on this site were given for that use.

Changes

We may update these terms for new commissions. The version in force is the one linked on the site on the date of your quote.
